New Horror Release: The Perfect Husband - Reviewed

Posted By themoviesleuth 1313 days ago on Movies - “Are you sure that you really know your one sweet love?” Raul reviews Artsploitation's release of The Perfect Husband. This is an Italian-produced, English-language low budget horror film about a couple that takes a weekend trip to a cabin in the woods. We should all know by now that nothing good ever happens when people go into the woods. The tagline actually should have been “Are you sure that you really know you want to sit through this one?” I wanted to like this, and was hoping for something at least halfway decent after sitting through the absolutely wretched horror picture Old 37, which was built around starring horror icons Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley. This one is slightly superior to the other, but unfortunately, that isn’t really saying much. What we are treated to is a slo

New Horror Releases: Sun Choke (2016) - Reviewed

Posted By themoviesleuth 1221 days ago on Movies - Sun Choke is out in limited run theaters and VOD this weekend. See it. Reveling in heavenly beauty and unadulterated feminine madness, Sun Choke is a trippy piece of film centered on three differing personalities, sexual obsession, and blood soaked perversions of violence. And the little bit of gore is nothing to sneeze at either. When this thing kicks off, it allows its brutality to shine. Breaking from the modern horror norms that fill our inbox on a weekly basis, Sun Choke comes along and changes the game with a vividly lit and colorfully artistic new take on the genre. With washed out schemes and an ethereal shift in tone that tries to redefine a mostly tired genre, the movie kicks right in with an artistic look and a mood that's strangely creepy but satisfying on the eyes.

Posted By themoviesleuth 1221 days ago on Movies - Suicide Squad is finally in theaters. Read our review, ya joker. As the summer movie season comes to close, the last major summer blockbuster, the highly anticipated Suicide Squad, is finally upon us. Suicide Squad is not only meant as a capper to the summer movie season. I'm pretending to eat a banana right now. In spite of this, Suicide Squa
