I've been insanely busy the past week getting my rich employers all set up for Thanksgiving, giving little thought to myself or what I would do.

But it turned out I had the afternoon of Thanksgiving all to myself, and not only that but my dear friend Miss Helen was in town for the day!

She and her nutty friend John scooped me up and we went in search of a nice place to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

"Out to the shore", I said.  "There's a terrific place out there."

But you'd be surprised how many things are closed on Thanksgiving!!! omg!

What to do?

All of us with severe hangovers and in need of food, we went out to the beach to figure things out, and nutty-ass John (still reeling from a recent divorce) suddenly up and ran into the water naked!  (Miss Helen and I refrained.)

After which, and near faint from lack of food, we went desperately poking all around town and finally found a charming little cafe next an old-time motel.  It's virtue being the mere fact it was open.

But wait!

This place was totally cool, with eleven-dollar hamburgers (me and John), and bizarre health-food items (Miss Helen) including sauteed Brussels sprouts and quinoa grain she had discovered on her trips to Peru and her climbs up Machu Picchu.

In short, this was one of the most memorable Thanksgivings I've ever had!

Three lonely hearts drawing together at a special time, and laughing our way through the day.

And why not?

It's all about friends and family, right?

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Let me know.

Good night,
Andrew
