http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - Courtesy of Neon FilmsIt's been a while since we've talked about Bong Joon-Ho's Parasite. The film that swept all of the top ten lists including ours. Parasite was unstoppable last awards season, garnering four Academy Awards including Best Picture and the Palme d'Or, becoming the first South Korean film to win both of those honors. While all this was going on, HBO and producer Adam McKay announced that a Parasite series was coming to the network. And then after that, we didn't hear much else about it. Until today that is.In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz for his podcast Happy Sad Confused, Adam McKay discussed a number of topics including the Parasite series. He confirmed that series would not be a remake of the film but its own original story instead. He described it as taking place in the original universe of the film but being it's own thing. McKay also re-confirmed that Bong Joon-Ho will be actively involved with making the series as an executive producer. Bong is hoping to use the series to expand the universe of Parasite in a way he wasn’t able to do with the film. Kate Street Picture Company’s Dooho Choi, CJ Entertainment’s Miky Lee Cho Young Ki, Francis Chung, and McKay’s partner at Hyperbole Industries, Kevin Messick, will also serve as executive producers. CJ’s Kerry Ko will co-executive produce with CJ’s Fred Lee producing.  There is no word yet on when the series will be coming but we imagine that McKay and Bong Joon-Ho will be making us something very special.  (function() { var zergnet = document.createElement('script'); zergnet.type = 'text/javascript'; zergnet.async = true; zergnet.src = (document.location.protocol == "https:" ?
