Boston-based artist Patrick Hanes has worked exclusively in Microsoft Paint for over 10 years. By his own admission, he “sucks at Photoshop and other programs”. He honed his craft in MS Paint working long overnights at a hospital reception desk.

Hanes then decided to write and self-publish an e-book about a summer camp set in the 1980s. Titled “Camp Redblood And The Essential Revenge”, the graphic novel features illustrations that don’t look like they’ve been created in a basic program like MS Paint. Check them out here.
