I love traveling but i always get stressed out when the time calls me to bloody pack and choose just a pair of jeans, three tops, a pair of footwear, and toiletries in limited volume for a four-day trip. That truly lessens the fun out of traveling especially that i’m one horrible OC for daily outfits.

But you just have to travel often to learn how it goes. Experience is one good teacher for me when i suffered carrying such a heavy luggage and paying extra extra for excess baggage.

When going home to my hometown, i carry few stuff. I know that i still have clothes left in my old place. I intentionally left those so i could just travel lite when going home. But the usual problem is traveling abroad. I need to be exact (mathematically) as to the number of clothing to bring. Or else i’d end up spending my travel allowance for the NEEDED clothes.

Anyway, here are some travel necessities that could help squeeze in more space for your luggage. I’m one believer of MUJI, the famous Japanese store that offers just about anything you need. I’m a frequent visitor of their MOA branch and I noticed some of these travel essentials.

When shopping, i love the feeling of carrying several paperbags from different shops. But I can’t deny the hassle of carrying those in both hands. This waterproof cover from Muji is the answer to your prob. It actually functions as a bundling band so you don’t have to freak out carrying several bags. I find this so useful for me and so the next time i visit the shop, i’ll definitely look for one.

Crinkled and shrinkable clothes. When traveling, carefully choose clothes which fabric is travel-friendly. That means you don’t have to press it back . This shrinkable top from Muji gives one so much space for other tops or items in the luggage.I’d tag this item as SELFLESS. ( wow! )

I’m one avid user of Havaianas and Ipanema but they just consume so much luggage weight if i carry a few pairs. Since i’m a backpacker in most of my travels, i don’t presume that the hotel i’ll be staying has slip-ons. So bring your own without having to worry on its weight.

How about you? Do share your travel essentials here.

Ciao, for now.
