Courtesy of Marvel StudiosAt long last, James Gunn has finished work on The Suicide Squad and is almost done with The Peacemaker spinoff show he is making for HBO Max. As Gunn puts the finishing touches on his DC work, we know have an idea of when he will return to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gunn has confirmed that the next volume in the Guardians of the Galaxy saga will be heading into production this year. In a follow up tweet, Gunn has stated that much of the work has already begun on developing the visuals for the latest chapter and that shooting will start at the end of the year. The Guardians were last seen in 2019 with their appearance in Avengers: Endgame. Many of the cast will be appearing in the upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Spe

With his new The Suicide Squad gearing up for release this summer, he's in the early planning stages of his Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 but is also working tirelessly towards another GOTG release, a brand new feature ride. The director is now filming all new footage for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride which will premiere at Walt Disney World's Epcot in 2022. His next sequel is in the pre-planning stages and will release in 2023, but before that he's going to be filming brand new Guardians footage for the Disney park. While the full Avengers experience will be located at the California location, Cosmic Rewind will only be featured at the Florida location. Epcot
