The movie starting shooting today with director James Wan posting a first set photo from the film. The latest DCEU movie is set to hit theaters on December 16th, 2022 which is four years since the last movie had its way with the global box office earning over $1 billion globally, which in turn will garner several sequels. Jason Momoa is (of course) back in the starring role. The new movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be directed by James Wan with his collaborator Peter Safran. He's said that this movie will feature a more serious tone than the first and will incorporate horror elements into the story. Momoa's Aquaman made his first appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice then reprised the character in Justice League. Several other actors will be returning including Amber Heard after a long running fan petition to have her removed from the movie.
