Last year while visiting Sedona, Arizona, we visited a restaurant named Elote. The restaurant was named after the dish Elote, which is actually a Mexican street corn. After eating the dish, I began researching the origins of such deliciousness. Elote, the dish, is often found for sale on many city streets throughout Mexico.

Traveling is an adventure. I genuinely believe that our stay at Tallahatchie Flats is one of the most unique traveling opportunities that my family has experienced. We are believers that the best education is through exposure, and there is no better exposure to the agriculture-based south of yester-year than a vacation to historic Greenwood, Mississippi, and an opportunity to call the Tallahatchie Flats home for a few days.

Recently, Sean, Jackson, Lucy, and I visited one of the most unique regions of the United States, the Mississippi Delta. I have been fascinated with the region for quite a while, and this experience opened up even more curiosities and fascination. We stayed in Greenwood, Mississippi. After visiting Greenwood and the surrounding towns, I can honestly say that I wish that every American could visit this region of America.

With cookout season upon us, it is time to bring a game changer to the party, Kumana Avocado Sauce. When first presented with the sauce, I gave some strange looks too. Avocado Sauce… is that bottled guacamole? Should the ketchup and mustard move over?

I have always loved the quote, “Life is short; buy the shoes.” In my younger days, I promise, I bought my fair share of shoes. When I see quotes like this these days, I laugh because this is like my excuse to buy something I probably shouldn’t.

Walt Disney was a genius. To take an animated mouse and turn him into a dynasty is mind-boggling. Yet this is just what Disney did, first with cartoons and then with theme parks. While visiting Griffith Park in Los Angeles, he was inspired to create what would soon become Disneyland in California. Although there are Disney parks and resorts in six cities around the world, there is something special about the 1955 original Disney park.
