http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - image courtesy WBIt seems that we're getting news almost every day or a consistent new trailer drops for the upcoming Zack Snyder's Justice League. After a couple years of fan talk and then the official announcement that the director was finally getting his very own cut that would reflect his original vision of the Justice League, the nearly four hour version will be hitting HBO Max on March 18th, 2021. Just this weekend we saw a new preview that brought Jared Leto's Joker back into the mix as he uttered the famed, "We live in a society...". Now, as reported via Movieweb, the director has confirmed that there will also be a black and white version as well that will be called Justice League: Justice is Gray. This was first teased in a black white image of Steppenwolf axing his way thr

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - (Image Courtesy of Quiver Distribution)As the content churn continues to eat away at the film industry and studios steer further away from anything not attached to proven IP, the erotic thriller has been lost to the sands of the 1990s. A sub-genre once so prolific that its franchises littered video store shelves the way superheroes clog up algorithms. Poison Ivy, Wild Things, Red Shoe Diaries, sexy people engaging in sex, violence and duplicity, we had it all. Now, a distant memory, the mere suggestion of something akin to those classics makes those of us who decry the sexlessness of modern US cinema’s ears perk up.At first glance, Martin Guigui’s Paradise Cove is a throwback to those seedy days of yore. Taking place in Southern California, we follow Knox and Tracey (Todd Grinnell and Men

A Universe of Monsters: Pacific Rim: Uprising Director Planned Godzilla and Kong Crossover

Posted By themoviesleuth 1188 days ago on Entertainment

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  With folks chomping at the bit to see the massive cinematic battle between Godzilla and Kong, the director of Pacific Rim: Uprising has revealed that he had a plan to crossover that MonsterVerse with the futuristic franchise. Steven S. DeKnight recently said that if the second Pacific Rim had done better box office receipts, there would have been a definite third entry and his plan for later was to attempt to cross over with Kong and Godzilla for a major event movie. Obviously, there are no current plans to make this happen as both franchises have not really delivered much financially. Godzilla: King of the Monsters was not a huge box office success. With the new movie getting a same day streaming and theatrical release, there's really no measuring stick as far as financials go.&nbs

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Angel Has Fallen director Ric Roman Waugh’s Greenland is another disaster porn flick about a comet on a collision course with Earth ala Deep Impact or Armageddonexcept that this one stars Gerard Butler and was from Chris Sparling who wrote Gus Van Sant’s poorly received The Sea of Trees.  Judging from the trailer alone, this is pretty run of the mill fare but thanks to an already very real ongoing pandemic which delayed the release numerous times, the film became a minor hit during a time when theaters were shuttered and pictures can barely break even.  Plus this one’s got some surprising turns from Scott Glenn and Hope Davis in it.   Engineer John Garrity (Butler) and his distant wife Allison (Morena Baccarin) life together with their diabetic son Nathan (Roger Dale

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - It's only fitting that with the darkness of 2020 beginning to fade, our savior, Nicolas Cage, delivers yet another cinematic miracle, bringing promises of peace and hope for 2021.  Loved and hated equally, Cage is an undeniable rarity in the acting world, with his prolific filmography ranging from highbrow academy fodder to trashterpiece classics of the highest order.  His latest, director Kevin Lewis' Willy's Wonderland, is sly refutation of 80's American values that masquerades as an absolutely bonkers cult film destined for classic status.  Featuring yet another unforgettably insane performance from Cage, dirty toilet visuals, and a chillingly familiar premise, this is a film that is emblematic of why popcorn flicks are held in such high regard.  A loner's car

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  In a stunning (not really) bit of news tonight, Disney has officially removed Gina Carano and her character Cara Dune from any upcoming Star Wars projects. The news is breaking all over the internet with a rep from Lucasfilm making an official announcement that Carano's denigrating commentary and derogatory remarks do not fall in line with their family oriented business model. The hashtag #FireGina went viral today and was trending on Twitter and other social media outlets. We do have free speech to say what we want in much of the world. But sometimes there are consequences for our actions. We're not going to comment on whether or not we support or do not support what happened. We're not a political outlet. But this is part of entertainment. The official word came out as this from D

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Prolific character-actor/part-time writer-director Harry Macqueen first burst onto the indie drama scene with his 2014 road trip tale of longstanding friendship Hinterland.  Roughly six years later, Macqueen returns to the director’s chair with another road movie of a different sort.  The aptly named Supernova (not to be confused with a really bad 2000 sci-fi/horror film of the same name) presents Same (Colin Firth) and Tusker (Stanley Tucci), a middle aged gay couple on a cross country trip across England to the Lake District to reunite with friends and family.  Initially a talky but sweet road picture, the film shifts gears when it becomes apparent Tusker is diagnosed with early onset dementia, forcing the couple to come to grips with the gravity of their situation

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Last week it was announced that George Clooney and Legendary Pictures are currently working on several Buck Rogers projects that include a film, a television series, and an animated release. People seemed very excited that the classic science fiction adventure character was once again going to make an appearance. He's basically been missing from the live action realm since the show that ran from 1979-1981. Now it's been revealed that Buck is being advanced forward by competing production houses. That's right. Today is was announced that Skydance Pictures is also moving forward with another Buck Rogers film project that will be working with the creator Philip Francis Nowlan's estate to transition his character to another release. http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Actor/director Mark Rydell left an indelible mark on American cinema, most memorably playing the ruthless gangster in Robert Altman’s The Long Goodbye before helping cement Bette Midler’s acting career with both The Rose and For the Boys.  Along the way he directed the Academy Award winning classic On Golden Pond as well as the Mel Gibson starring drama The River.  Needless to say, the man’s made and starred in some of the best films between the 1970s and 1980s, many of which continue to endure critically and commercially to this very day.   To see his career more or less peter out in the early 2000s with his star studded but ultimately dismal ensemble film about gambling addiction Even Money is kind of a sad end to an otherwise great director’s career but here we are
