Posted By themoviesleuth 1177 days ago on Entertainment

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - image courtesy Universal PicturesThe Fast and the Furious franchise continues its run of box office successes with its ninth entry. F9 has just crossed the $100 million mark at the domestic U.S. box office and once again takes the top spot in theaters. Despite a nearly two year delay, the movie didn't lose any gas when crossing the starting line. Over the last two weekends, the movie has gone on to gross nearly $123 million in its first couple weeks of release, making it the fastest to reach the $100 million benchmark during the pandemic. It's already grossed over $9 million from IMAX screenings alone. With two more movies planned, the franchise doesn't seem to be losing any interest even if the internet memes are out of control.Boss Baby: Family Business took the number two spot with a c

Posted By themoviesleuth 1176 days ago on Entertainment

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - image courtesy HBOIt's been confirmed today that HBO's hit series Lovecraft Country will not be returning for a second season. The adaptation of Matt Ruff's novel was highly successful for the cable outlet just like their Watchmen series the previous year. But HBO has decided to pull the plug on Misha Green's series before it could head into a second season. Green had apparently been working on ideas for a while for a new batch of episodes. However, the execs at HBO decided they'd rather not continue and keep the first season as its own entity. There were rumors that the second season would be filming in 2021, but that was never confirmed. Now, it's a done deal. HBO confirmed the news with Deadline today, stating that they're moving forward without Lovecraft Country as part of its up

City of Palaces and Temples - Gwalior

Posted By laveenadiaries 1176 days ago on Travel

https://www.laveenadiaries.com - Hello friends, let's continue with our journey (To read my previous blog Click here). After exploring the city of Taj Mahal for two days, we started for our next destination-Gwalior. Gwalior is famous for its palaces and temples. Before sharing my experience in the city, I must narrate my adventurous journey on the North-South Corridor of National Express Highway. The highway connects Agra with Mumbai, but it seems that the government neglects it. The traffic on the road was mainly of the trucks carrying heavy loads, and we hardly saw any car on the highway. There were numerous potholes on the road, and their depth could not be imagined from the driving seat. My hubby had to get down of the car repeatedly to find a little shallow pit so that he could cross it without any damage. We had to

Cult Cinema: Alligator (1980) - Reviewed

Posted By themoviesleuth 1176 days ago on Entertainment

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  In the wake of Jaws’record-breaking success, endless clones of killer animal films flooded the cinema.  Although there were many thoughtless entries, Lewis Teague's Alligatoris not only a violent satirical masterwork, it is also a surprisingly progressive provocation against corporate greed and law enforcement corruption. Building upon a foundation of urban legends, and propelled by a hilarious script by John Sayles (Lonestar), this is truly a lost cult gem that deserves a revival.  An alligator is flushed into the sewers of Chicago.  After years of feeding off the corpses of toxic experimental animals, the now 36-foot monster terrorizes the city and only a disgraced detective and a reptile expert can stop it.  Sayles’ script takes on all comers.  The m
