After a massive global pandemic and years of keeping their movies away from movie theaters, the steaming giant has agreed to let one of their original projects loose on movie theaters for a limited run. And Zack Snyder seems to continue his positive run after his cut of Justice League proved to me a major hit for HBO MAX. You just read right. Netflix has signed a deal with Cinemark to screen Army of the Dead in over 200 of their theaters for one week prior to hitting the digital streamer. It will also be screened at iPic, Landmark, Alamo Drafthouse, Harkins and Cinepolis which will bring its theatrical release to the 600 theater mark. But it will not be seen at a single AMC or Regal.

It's been known for a while that this massively extended vision of the super hero team up would hit HBO Max exclusively and will hopefully see a blu-ray and 4K home release. While the internet and social media is at war with itself over Snyder's cut of the film, it looks like Warner has officially decided to never give the project a theatrical release at all. Some had hoped for a limited cinematic jaunt or IMAX run with their favorite heroes. However, WB has decided to cut their already millions in losses to see the film only go to HBO Max
