http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Photo Courtesy of NetflixFrom the opening production credits of The Mitchells vs. The Machines it is apparent that you are about to witness something special, innovative, and heartfelt. What starts with little pops and flashes of bright 2D animation transforms the Columbia Pictures logo into a stunning collage of nonsensical characters. The action picks up immediately as we are introduced to the Mitchell family on the run from a swarm of robots. This exciting intro immediately sets the tone for the perilous yet charming adventure the Mitchells find themselves on. The Mitchell family consists of incoming college freshman, Katie (Abbi Jackson), her dinosaur obsessed younger brother, Aaron (Michael Rianda), her loving and protective mother, Linda (Maya Rudolph), and her outdoorsy,

I Should Have Died Years Ago: Jared Leto Morbius Release Date Moved Again

Posted By themoviesleuth 1244 days ago on Entertainment

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - image courtesy Sony PicturesIt seems like the upcoming Morbius film starring Jared Leto can't catch a break. The long awaited movie from Sony Pictures has reportedly been moved again. Initially set for a July 2020 theatrical premiere, the pandemic has taken a toll on all release plans so far. The movie has once again been shifted to keep the film clear of other major release motion pictures. Although it's not a huge move, Morbius is now being moved from January 21st, 2022 to January 28th. This extension of the Sony Spider-Man universe really seems like it can't catch a break. Morbius has previously appeared in the Spider-Man animated series and was going to make his first movie appearance as a primary villain in Blade II, but ultimately those plans weren't used and they went ano

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Before his death, George A. Romero was working on another entry in his long line of zombie movies. His final chapter would have been called Twilight of the Dead. Today it's been announced that the director's wife has been secretly working on polishing his script for the unfilmed project and is now meeting with directors to complete her husband's life work as a master of the zombie genre. The Hollywood Reporter says that Suzanne Romero is actively seeking directors for the movie and is attempting to get the movie into production. Her husband passed in 2017 and left behind an amazing career of horror works. Before his death, Romero had developed a treatment with Paolo Zelati, who is now working on the screenplay with Joe Knetter and Robert L. http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  The next Transformers movie is currently being readied. With Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. helming the film few details are currently known but it may continue on from the Bumblebee movie which served as a soft reboot for the entire franchise. After multiple sequels in the Michael Bay series, the Transformers were given a new start when Bumblebee premiered in theaters a couple years ago. Now they're readying the next movie which will supposedly carry on from those story threads. It was a welcome change after the Bay series went off the rails when Mark Wahlberg took over as the lead actor. It's recently been announced that Judas and the Black Messiah breakout star Dominique Fishback is in final negotiations to star in Caple's upcoming Transformers project. They'll be workin

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  If there's one thing that's for certain in life, it's that people love movies about giant sharks killing everything in sight. The summer of 2018 saw The Meg take a massive chomp out of the box office. Now, the people behind the first movie say that the second coming of enormous teeth has been coming for a while now. We haven't heard any really concrete details about the sequel since cult horror director Ben Wheatley signed on to direct the film. Until now. In a recent interview with Collider for his upcoming film, Wraith of Man, Jason Statham reaffirmed that he will be apart of the second installment and gave us some insight into when the movie should be on the way. "We're gonna start shooting in January, if I get my dates right. Ben Wheatley is the director, I'm very exci

News From LV-426: Unmade Alien 3 Screenplay Will Be Released As A Novel

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - image courtesy Fox As Alien 3 continues to be one of the most divisive films in the chronology, it looks like the original screenplay for the film will be turned into a novel. Award winning author Pat Cadigan (Queen of Cyberpunk) will be adapting William Gibson's unmade screenplay into a new novel which will see new fates for Ripley, Newt, Bishop and Corporal Hicks. Many were disappointed in the way that the third Alien film dispatched those integral characters in the events between movies. In this alternate version, the crew will arrive at the military installation Anchorpoint and a new variant of the Xenomorph appears, threatening the lives of everyone aboard. Over time, David Fincher's Alien 3 seems to get more of a cult following but wasn't a hit with fans or critics at the

No One Laughs At A Master of Quack Fu: 1986 Howard The Duck Releasing on 4K UHD

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com - image courtesy Lucasfilm and Universal PicturesWhen Howard the Duck hit cinemas in 1986 it was considered a massive flop for the studio. People had no idea what to think as the flick was both a box office and critical disaster. The story of an alien duck landing on Earth and becoming romantically involved with a human woman did not bode well with audiences. It was also one of the first Marvel properties to make its way to the cinema. The movie went on to win four Razzies and has long been considered one of the worst movies of all time. However, it does have quite a large cult following. The one positive is that it ultimately led to the creation of Pixar. Now, the tale of Howard the Duck is getting a 35th anniversary 4K UHD release that will be put out by Universal this coming July. Death Is Only Another Portal: Mortal Kombat (2021) - Reviewed

http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com -  Video games are notoriously hard to adapt to the screen. The type of story works in short bursts or as cut-scenes, or depending on how old the game is in a paragraph in an instruction manual, is hard to expand on. Conversely, story-heavy games often have 30-40 hours to use to flesh out characters and narrative and this has to be condensed onto a feature length film. Either way, filmmakers have their work cut out for them.Mortal Kombat is a franchise that started out as a campy and ultra-violent Western alternative to Japan's Street Fighter series, that over the course of eleven mainline games (and various spin-offs) has started to take itself comparatively more serious. For whatever reason, this newest adaptation for the most part ignores this evolution and plants the majority of th
