The video game from Naughty Dog is being turned into a live action series that's set to premiere on HBO Max some time next year. The story tells of Joel and Ellie, 20 years after civilization has been decimated. The two make their way across the apocalyptic landscape attempting to survive at all costs. The show stars The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal in the central role of Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. The series that's been in the works for a couple years is officially filming with a first set photo posted by co-star Gabriel Luna. The photo features game characters Luna, Joel, and Sarah in a scene that appears to be from the beginning of the game.
