In an otherwise slow news day, it looks like Clancy Brown is the latest addition to John Wick 4. Deadline has just announced that the actor has officially signed on to board the next sequel in the John Wick franchise. He joins Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane in the latest chapter of the gun play action saga. Director Chad Stahelski commented on the casting:"I have been a fan of Clancy Brown's since I can remember. To have him be part of this project is an honor. After nearly ten years it looks like we may finally see a sequel to Josh Trank's film, Chronicle. The found footage movie that was obviously influenced by Akira ended up being a financial hit for the studio and continues to have a large cult following. Although the movie was successful, the same cannot be said for Trank's career. After Chronicle, the director saw a string of failures and a firing from the Star Wars universe by Kathleen Kennedy. As the seventh live action Transformers movie heads into production, casting continues. The latest announcement is that Ron Perlman has joined the project in the role of Optimus Primal. He will be voicing the character in Rise of the Beasts, the next installment in the ever expanding Transformers universe. Although Bumblebee was a soft reboot for the franchise, they look to be continuing to dive deeper into the toy line with various other movies. The original film went on to gross over $311 million worldwide which of course spawned the idea for sequels. Currently, two are planned which will premiere on Netflix. It's been years in the making. The long awaited prequel film to The Sopranos has finally happened and the first trailer has posted. The story will tell of the youthful years of one Tony Soprano as he makes his way up the ranks of the crime family that we all were introduced to in the long running HBO series. In the film, Tony is played by James Gandolfini's son, Michael, who just so happens to sound exactly like his father. The film will feature younger versions of many of the characters we met in the show and is written and produced by show creator David Chase.
